This Privacy Policy explains how CaloGlow ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the CaloGlow app and website (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and basic profile details.
• Health & nutrition data you provide: meals and food logs, calories and macros, water intake, weight, steps, and optional profile details such as age, sex, height and nutrition goals. You provide this to power the Service's tracking features.
• Photos: if you use AI photo scanning, the meal image is processed to estimate its nutrition.
• Usage & device data: basic analytics and technical information needed to operate and improve the Service.
• Payment data: handled entirely by our Merchant of Record, Paddle. We do not collect or store your full card details.

2. How we use your information

• To provide core features — logging, tracking, trends, AI meal recognition and the AI coach.
• To create and manage your account and subscription.
• To improve the Service and provide support.
• To send important service-related communications.

3. AI processing

Meal text and photos may be sent to third-party AI providers to generate nutrition estimates. These providers process the input to return a result and operate under their own terms. We send only what is needed to perform the analysis.

4. Service providers we use

• Supabase — secure database and authentication (data storage and sync).
• Paddle — payment processing and billing as Merchant of Record.
• AI providers — for meal text and image analysis.
• Google Fit — optional, only if you choose to connect it for step syncing.
• Analytics — privacy-conscious product analytics to understand and improve usage.

5. Data storage & security

Your data is stored on our providers' secured infrastructure. The app is offline-first: data is saved on your device and synced to our servers. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers above as needed to operate the Service, or where required by law.

7. Your rights

You may access, correct, export or delete your data. To request account or data deletion, contact us at support@caloglow.com. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
